The Revd Canon Paul Avis, General Secretary of the Church of England’s Council for Christian Unity, gave a public lecture on “The Ecumenical Consequences of the Anglican Communion” in the JM Synge Theatre in the Arts Building, Trinity College Dublin, on 4 May 2011.

Canon Avis is also the Honorary Professor of Theology in the University of Exeter, Canon Theologian of Exeter, a chaplain to Queen Elizabeth II, and the editor of Ecclesiology.
