The Church of Ireland Theological Institute has announced the appointment of the Revd Patrick McGlinchey to the post of Lecturer in Missiology and Pastoral Studies.

Mr McGlinchey has been a part–time member of the faculty staff team since 2009.

He has graduate and post–graduate degrees in theology from the University of Nottingham. He is currently completing a doctoral thesis that explores the relationship between the Augustinian theology of Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) and evangelicalism.

Before his present role at CITI, Mr McGlinchey was the leader of a joint Anglican/Baptist church planting initiative in the Diocese of Norwich and then the Church of Ireland chaplain at the Queen’s University, Belfast.
