The newly refurbished Lady Chapel in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, was the venue for the institute’s 2013 Advent Carol Service.

Students, staff, family members and friends from the Church of Ireland Theological Institute were involved in the readings and intercessions, and the traditional Advent Carols were led by a choir of students and staff members under the musical direction of Second Year Student Julie Bell.

CITI was welcomed warmly by the Dean of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the Very Revd Victor Stacey, and the guest preacher was Ms Lydia Monds of the Church of Ireland Bishops’ Appeal Fund.

The service, organised by Dr Katie Heffelfinger’s Tutorial Group, and the collection went, was followed by a reception in the North Transept. The collection went to the Bishops’ Appeal Fund or work with Syrian refugees and the victims of the Philippine hurricane.
